Our research group includes diverse and talented researchers interested in the relationship between thinking and feeling in everyday life and the psychological changes experienced as individuals grow older.

Dr. Joseph Mikels is the director of the lab and a Professor of Psychology at DePaul University. Dr. Mikels received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 2003, followed by a post-doctoral fellowship at Stanford University. In addition to conducting research, Dr. Mikels teaches courses on social and emotional development throughout the life span.

The other members of the Emotion & Cognition Lab include undergraduate research assistants, graduate students, research professionals, and collaborating professors.
